Travel Journal Zimbabwe was born from a simple frustration — the best travel writing about Zimbabwe was being done by outsiders. International publications sent journalists for a week and wrote about Victoria Falls. Nobody was writing about the NRZ Museum in Bulawayo, or the flamboyant trees on Enterprise Road in November, or what it actually costs to get from Harare to Chimanimani by combi.
We started this platform to change that. Travel Journal Zimbabwe is a community of local writers, photographers and travellers who know this country from the inside. We write for Zimbabweans who want to rediscover their own country, and for visitors who want to see it honestly.

Travel Journal Zimbabwe is powered by a growing network of approved contributors — teachers, guides, students, photographers and curious locals from Harare to Beitbridge. Each contributor goes through an application and review process before publishing. Every article is edited before it goes live.
